Fade in to...Coachella Instagram Top 5

1. Rosie Huntington Whiteley

RHW won Coachella, the Californian music fest come fashion parade. Wearing a dreamy Chloe dress and a Coach bag, she nailed the angelic boho look in all of her effortless glory.

2. Millie Mackintosh

Millie's Coachella experience was a well documented delight as she championed her own MM2015 collection throughout, joined by her equally fashion forward Brit Fash Pack including DJ Zara Martin and Irish presenter Laura Whitmore.

3. Kate Bosworth

Kate Bosworth invented the laid back festival attire, year on year she never fails to impress with her perfect combination of eclectic hippy meets front row regular, Coachella 2015 was no different in her simple shift and Etro trophy jacket.

4. Daisy Lowe

Daisy to me, is the waking representation of true beauty. Her unique face and enviable curves make her different to most high profile models, love this casual gingham dress. Rarely seen without her host of famous friends include Poppy Delevigne, Pixie Geldof and Nick Grimshaw.

5. Alexa Chung

The human style bible dusted off her decks to DJ at this years Coachella, and done so sporting an ethereal Chloe smock, and beachy shell statement necklace. The over-sized look complimented her slight but tall frame but would make us mere mortals look insane.

Fade in to...Silver Screen Sirens

Film and books are my first loves, but I must say television has never been better. The silver screen now has the créme de la créme of quality scripts as well as diverse and talented actors, and with the popularity of Netflix, you have constant access to a slew of fantastic shows! With some kick-ass leading ladies to boot!

Emilia Clarke- Khaleesi, Game of Thrones.

I personally am waiting with baited breath for the return of Game of Thrones (reading the books to keep myself sane, I am on A Feast For Crows), and the final series of my long-standing love, Mad Men. My other primarily female-led tv favourites are Orange is the New Black and Scandal, Olivia Pope is my HERO... both satirically and career-wise.

Christina Hendricks -Joan Holloway, Mad Men.

What I love about these particular programs, is the strong women that feature throughout. While admittedly, there is some way to go before we can say, feminism is largely apparent in TV, there has been a notable improvement, and I feel, the writing, and compelling actresses who are deleivering outstanding performances in these roles,  are paving the way to something better. All we need now are more of these opportunities (and equal pay!) in the words of Reese Witherspoon;

“We just want to see different, dynamic women on film.”

Carice van Houten - Melisandre, Game of Thrones.

Kerry Washington - Olivia Pope, Scandal.

Easter egg binge-ing is coming to an end but let the TV/laptop/tablet binge-watching commence!
